Ofload continues to strengthen executive leadership team, naming Karishma Bhatt VP Commercial and expanding Rebecca Smith's VP Operations role

August 7, 2026

The moves are the latest in a series of executive appointments that have strengthened Ofload's leadership team over the past year, with a Chief Financial Officer search also underway.

SYDNEY, 5 August 2026: Ofload, an Australian-based digital freight partner, today announced two changes within its executive team: Karishma Bhatt has been promoted to VP, Commercial, and Rebecca Smith has taken on an expanded role as VP, Ops Enablement & Transformation. The moves continue to strengthen Ofload's executive leadership team across every core function of the business, joining Ludivine Scheidecker as VP Finance, Rimonda Ohlsson as VP People & Culture, and Richard Sands as VP Engineering.

Since its founding in 2019, Ofload has raised more than $100 million across seed, Series A, Series B and B+ funding rounds, and grown its team to more than 150 employees. In that time, the company has built a nationwide network of small and medium transport operators that now moves freight for a number of Australia's largest brands. In the last 18 months, that growth has taken the company into a period defined by operational rigour, commercial discipline, and long-term value creation.

"This is a significant step in Ofload's growth trajectory. Growth at this scale demands a leadership team built to match it. These appointments reflect a deliberate investment in an executive leadership team that will lead Ofload through its next chapter, as we build toward sustainable, long-term growth. Karishma and Rebecca both bring the calibre of experience that requires."  — Geoffroy Henry, Founder & CEO, Ofload

Karishma Bhatt, VP Commercial

Karishma brings more than a decade of commercial and operational leadership across Australian logistics, including roles at efm Logistics, Fedex and CouriersPlease. As Ofload's new VP Commercial, she will lead the company's commercial strategy end to end, with her mandate spanning new business, pricing and revenue performance, and deepening the company's relationships with major shippers as Ofload continues to scale nationally.

"Ofload has built something genuinely different in this industry, and I'm energised by the opportunity to bring the same commercial discipline I've built over more than a decade in logistics to a business at this stage of its growth." — Karishma Bhatt, VP Commercial, Ofload

Rebecca Smith, VP, Ops Enablement & Transformation

Rebecca brings more than a decade of operations and transformation leadership across major Australian supply chains, including roles at Woolworths Group, where she led large-scale digital transformation across the retailer's supply chain. In her expanded role at Ofload, Rebecca will lead Ofload's operations enablement and transformation function, with her mandate spanning network reliability, service performance, and the technology and process transformation needed to run a nationwide freight network at this scale.

"We're not just running a freight network, we're building the operating model for what this business becomes. That's a rare thing to get to build from the inside, and it's why this next chapter matters to me." — Rebecca Smith, VP, Ops Enablement & Transformation, Ofload.

The appointments follow recent additions to Ofload's leadership team, and come as the company continues its search for a Chief Financial Officer this year. The moves underscore Ofload's focus on financial discipline, institutional-grade governance, and the strength of its people, as the business continues to grow.
